Knit-a-Doodle Do! joins two of my passions, knitting and drawing. In knitwear design, they go hand-in-hand, so it’s logical to use this blog as a place to showcase my talents and share ideas.
Hello, my name is Emily. I’m a wife and mother with ambition. Many of my skills are self-taught or directed by internet videos. Hot gluing is a skill I will never master, and I’m okay with that.
Crochet was my main skill until 2004 when Harry Potter hit its height and stole me away. Since then, I’ve knit over 200 projects and learned to spin my own yarn (2008). Now, I’m also a designer.
Drawing has always been a passion. My mother would say, I was born with a pencil in my hand. Most of my knitwear designs are derived from doodles or concept sketches. Until recently, I’ve dived back into the digital realm of drawing.
So, here I am with husband, son, two cats, and a closet full of yarny goodness that sometimes spills out into other rooms of our Wisconsin home.
